I Iove muyjob...have I told you that??? It people are usually pretty laid back. I do have to deal with Finance people who can be a bit of a pain. If I get this Barca role I'll love it even more.

One thing that I can't stand at work is working in an open plan office - I have no desire to hear other people's telephone conversations nor them to hear mine.

My boss (who sits next to me) has an annoying tendency to look at my screen and comment on it.

Fortunately he's out at the moment, otherwise he'd no doubt be reading this.

Dont mind my job as train driver apart from getting up at 3am every other week. Decent wedge and pension 4day week.
Recession proof too
Have to work some weekends so watching football can be a pain.
Apart from that i left school did printing retail and IT For 18yrs
Wish i did this at 16 to be fair..

One of the great regrets of my life is I never got to do a job I liked or was even vaguely interested in. Hate work and always have done (although I have had a good time at some companies and withs ome people along the way)

Me and a mate was gonna do that a couple of years ago, had all the forms etc., had everything planned out, then the daft stupid fucking cunt went to prison for drugs (so will now probably never be allowed in Oz) and I got pregnant.

Well the last bit is a lie but end result is the same.

Know a few people from working abroad before who literally just live country to country season to season doing bar work and stuff, always skint as shit but I bet they have more memories and stories by age 30 than most big city earners doing 9-5s could in 10 life times.

Sydney, thanks for the incite, wasn't being nosy, but is very interesting to hear from someone who has traded from home as I have contemplated trading from home for a while, like yourself more as a sideline.

I won't go into the technicalities as it can get very boring and everyone has a different view point. I understand the risks and will probably copy trade mainly to reduce risk. I don't expect to make anything substantial from it, but hope not to lose much and see what it brings.

I have thought that it must be quite boring after a while, have some other interests to keep me busy anyway and I fully understand why you would want to go to work with all the rewards even if not for financial reasons,

It is not all about the money, although it helps of course, but some jobs can be very rewarding.

Yes I did trade for a while from home, very very boring TBH, also the way I trade doesn’t need me in front of a screen all day, tried that and its very difficult and you spend most of your time watching and waiting, im a trend trader, that is I take a position in the market at a certain level and then hold that position if the trend continues, higher or lower my exit price is also moving so if im right and prices are going up/down, I hold until prices start going the opposite way but also give the position room to move so im never going to get out at the high or low but I may hold a position for weeks even months sometimes and moves on occasion can be substantial, the flip side is my win rate is about 35% so most trades I place lose money, but anyone who knows anything about trading will know that it’s a game of positive expectancy and that’s no unusual.

Anyway enough of that, trading takes me all of 10 mins a day, I download data and re set entry and exit positions in the markets I trade, I then go to work and forget about it, the job I do is a lifestyle job, im not the boss, and don’t want to be the boss, its also a community job, no profit or loss, so im helping people, trading offers some great rewards profit wise but sometimes its along time between drinks, having job is my security blanket as it were, pays the bills but little else but at least its guaranteed money every week and I feel im doing some good, every now and then I get a big pay day in the futures markets and that gives me a pretty decent lifestyle.

Health before wealth that's my motto, currently on a year working visa in oz, doing a bit of labouring and a little bit of cash in hand work.

Don’t like work all the time but on the whole going to work doesn’t bother me, made redundant from a bank during the GFC and got a decent wedge, decided to take my time before going back into the workforce and took it easy, first couple of months were great but after that it got pretty boring, weekends were ok but during the week when everyone is at work your often left at a loose end, sure you can play golf or Tennis, go fishing, fix things at home, watch DVD all day whatever but most of the time you either doing it on your own or struggling to find mates to go with as there all at work.

Had originally planned to take at least a year off but in the end was back in the workforce after about 8 months, maybe be a different story if I was late 50,s or older but no regrets about going back in and the new job is completely different to what I was doing before and something I never would have thought I would have done, so although like any job it has its bad bits overall its been like starting again and interesting learning new things and a very different work environment.

Feel sorry for people who hate there jobs, life is too short, move on or find something different.
